What is MBC Nepal Missions
MBC Nepal Missions was birthed when Joe and Tanna Collins accepted the call of God to work with the Tibetan people in the country of Nepal. After their death the work was continued by Tanna's parents Bro. Jerry and Martha Sellers, becoming known as Collin's Children's Home. It was so named because of the beggar children that now had a home because of the ministry of Joe and Tanna. The vision of MBC Nepal Missions, however, has always been church planting with emphasis given to providing training and resources to the Nepali Christians so that they can reach the Nepali people for Christ.
Bro. Jerry and Sis. Martha Sellers
Bro.
Jerry and Sis. Martha Sellers have been in full time Christian work for
over 45 years. During the first 30 years of their service Bro. Jerry
pastored churches in Arkansas and Tennessee. Each of these Churches
were distinctive in their desire for and giving to World-Wide Missions.
Countless thousands of dollars were sent to the foreign field to
support Bible preaching missionaries during these years. Bro. Jerry is
known for his plan and thought provoking preaching and teaching with
emphasis on the gospel message and missions. Those whom he pastored
grew in their knowledge of the Word of God, in their love for Christ,
and in their desire for World Evangelization. In July of 1992 Bro. Jerry and Sis. Martha gave the ultimate gift for
the cause of missions when their daughter and son-in-law Joe and Tanna
Collins and their 5 children were killed in a plane crash while serving
as missionaries in the country of Nepal.
Over the last 15 years Bro. Jerry and Sis. Martha have labored in the
area of missions full time: facilitating church planting in the country
of Nepal, preaching faith promise missions conferences, speaking in
ladies meetings, and caring for the children in the Collin's Children's
Home of Nepal. Bro. Jerry and Sis. Martha now live their lives
reaching the people for whom their family died.
