The Himalayan Mountains offer a beautiful view from Kathmandu Valley.
The imposing mountains do not offer much of a place to live, and
so, much of this northern area of Nepal is inhabitable.
The Jungles of the South
The jungle is found in the south parts of Nepal. The majority of
the Jungle is considered National Forest and Park area. There are
cities on the border of the jungle and there is a great need for the
gospel.
The City of the Valley - Kathmandu
Kathmandu Valley has a population of 2.5 - 3 million people but that
does not count the many children and women that do not have citizenship
and are not counted. There are approximately 10-15 Baptist
Churches in the Valley. That is over 200,000 - 300,000 people per
Church. There are is truly a great need in Nepal.
The Villages of the Middle Land
There are small villages everywhere. And their are numerous souls
that have never heard the Gospel in these places. There has been
work done to reach these places but so much more should be done.
One of the World's Largest Buddist Stupas
This is one of the Largest Buddist Stupas in the World. It is
something to behold. It is just down the path from this center
area of Bouddha that Joe Collins started the small fellowship that
became Bouddha Baptist Church. The Buddist say that the Stupa is
filled with god's words or milk. Today it has become more about tourism
than about religion. In any case we should preach the Gospel to
those who have never heard
Bouddha Baptist Church
